BlueJay is built on more than 15 years of experience working inside university and college admissions across Canada and the United States, paired with doctoral research focused on holistic admissions and how institutions assess student potential.
That experience comes from seeing, firsthand, how applications are reviewed, how decisions are made, and where capable students are often misunderstood or overlooked. My research examined these same gaps, exploring why traditional, grade-focused processes can fail to recognize readiness, resilience, and fit, especially in competitive programs.
BlueJay provides coaching and advising, not shortcuts or guarantees. We help students prepare thoughtful, well-positioned applications and make informed choices about programs that align with their goals, strengths, and readiness. Our role is to bring clarity and evidence-informed guidance to a complex process, so families can move forward with confidence.
